ITBC produced architectural drawings including layouts, elevations, sections and a full NBS specification to allow the project to be tendered and to achieve building regulation approval. We also provided contract administration including chairing progress meetings, monitoring works on site for progress and quality of workmanship, reviewing applications for payment and issuing payment certificates and dealing with queries and variations. We also carried out snagging inspections, organized handover and produced the final account.
Project Description
The building was converted and refurbished to accommodate the council’s music service. The works included internal alterations with new partition walls and doors, new finishes to the walls, floors and ceilings and alterations to the services to suit.
Benefits
The works were required to be completed within a very tight timescale and we had to engage with all the stakeholders over a very short and intense period. Design documentation was produced quickly to allow for time to review to ensure all the project requirements were achieved.
We also worked closely with the appointed contractor to ‘fast track’ the works and ensure the project was completed on time, within budget and met the stakeholders aspirations.
